Investment Strategy
SEN Asset Management approaches every investment decision with the same analytical rigor and long-term discipline as established professional funds.
Our Approach
We employ a fundamental, bottom-up approach to equity selection, with a primary focus on Nordic listed companies. Each investment idea is thoroughly evaluated through both qualitative and quantitative lenses before inclusion in our portfolio. We believe that deep company understanding, combined with structured analysis, is the foundation of consistent outperformance.
Investment Criteria
We seek companies with strong and sustainable competitive advantages, sound balance sheets, and attractive valuations relative to intrinsic value. Equal weight is given to the quality of management and the clarity of a company’s long-term growth drivers. Only businesses that meet our full criteria are considered for inclusion.
Portfolio Construction
Portfolio construction is guided by Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) and mean-variance optimization. We analyse the correlation structure between holdings to maximise diversification benefits and target an optimal risk-return profile. The Sharpe ratio serves as our primary measure of portfolio efficiency, ensuring that every unit of risk taken is intentional and well-compensated.
Risk Management
Risk management is not a separate function — it is embedded in every step of our process. We continuously monitor portfolio volatility, drawdown risk, and factor exposures, benchmarking performance against the OMXPI index on a risk-adjusted basis. Preserving capital is as important to us as generating returns.
Investment Horizon
We take a long-term view on all investments, allowing fundamental value to materialise over time. Portfolio performance and positioning are reviewed monthly through our published research reports, ensuring full transparency with our process and results.
Research. Discipline. Precision.
These are the principles that guide our investment strategy as we build a credible and transparent track record in the world of finance.
